Grading

1. Homework problems will be assigned and graded.
   
   
2. Policy on collaboration: Discussions among students about the qualitative issues arising in homework problems is fine. Examining another's solution, splitting up homeworks sets. etc. is off limits. This is on the honor system.
   
   
3. Instead of in-class exams there will be an extra-class informal seminar in which students select and report on an unsolved problem in astrophysics.
